Prior to Clearwater, Marcus spent 10 years at KPMG where he specialised in corporate finance and established a business services team. Marcus has worked in the corporate finance industry for over 20 years, and holds a degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol.

Graeme previously held industrialroles as a Global Director ofOccupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) and Sustainability at Amcor, a multinational packaging firm. Prior to this he spent ten years working for ERM, managing and undertaking a broad range ofsustainability projects. Graeme is a member of the BVCA Responsible Investment Advisory Group, Invest Europe Responsible Investment Roundtable and iCI Steering Committee. Graeme holds an MA Hons, Geography Degree from the University of Glasgow and an MSc in Environmental Management in the Business Community.

Adam has spent his entire near 30-year career as an ESG and sustainability specialist (the past 13 years employed within alternative finance). He has an academic background in Environmental Science, Environmental Law and Occupational Health and Safety, and has worked across most industry sectors in over 60 countries worldwide.

As a Partner in Coller Capital’s Investment Team, Adam draws upon this experience to lead the ESG Function and has primary responsibility for integrating ESG and sustainability within all investment decision-making and management processes. He also leads and supports on a range of ESG and sustainability initiatives applicable across the firm. Prior to joining Coller Capital in 2016, he was Partner and Head of Sustainability at multi-national private equity, venture and real estate manager (Doughty Hanson).

Between 2016-20, James co-led the rapid growth of Lightsource BP to become a global leader in the renewable energy sector. In private equity he co-founded green infrastructure fund, Eversource Capital, and held senior roles at Goldman Sachs, First Reserve and Advent International.

Prior to joining Northleaf in 2013, Matthieu was a partner at PEFOX, a private equity secondaries and derivatives broker in Paris. Previously, Matthieu worked with Pantheon Ventures’ secondaries team in London where he was responsible for the sourcing, evaluation and negotiation of portfolio, fund and direct secondary transactions. Matthieu began his career with an expansion capital fund sponsored by Société Générale Asset Management in Paris.

In addition, Peter is a member of the Initiative Climat International (iCl) steering committee, an investor-led private equity climate initiative. Peter holds a BSc in Human and Physical Geography from Reading University in the UK. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Michele co-founded Bridges alongside Philip Newborough and Sir Ronald Cohen in 2002. In addition to co-running Bridges, which is a specialist sustainable and impact fund management company, Michele has played a leading role in the growth of the sustainable and impact investing sectors in the UK and worldwide, including chairing the UK National Advisory Board on Impact Investing (part of the Global Social Impact Investment Steering Group) from 2016-18 and a Global Working Group on Policy. She is currently a Non-Executive Director on the board of CDC, the UK Government’s Development Finance Institution. Michele is also a trustee for the Bridges Impact Foundation and chairs the Board of Bridges Insights.

Kate spent over 15 years in the private equity market working as an Investor Relations Manager for both Capital Dynamics and SVG Advisers before moving into recruitment five years ago. She is also a graduate of Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge, a qualification which underpins her knowledge of sustainable investment.

Kate’s first-hand industry experience and sector expertise give her a valuable insight into the skills required to build investor relations teams and develop ESG and sustainable investment strategies.

Cathy joined Alderwood Capital in September 2021. A Partner in the firm, Cathy is Head of Human Capital and a member of the Management Committee and Investment Committee.

Cathy is an acknowledged expert on high value performance management in the asset management sector with a particular emphasis on succession planning, understanding how investment teams interact and make successful decisions, and sustaining thriving cultures.

She is an accomplished senior executive with broad senior management experience ranging from boutique asset management firms, to one of the world’s largest financial institutions.

From 2011 Cathy was one of the five original partners of Northill Capital having joined the firm shortly after its formation in 2011, leaving in 2021 when the firm had grown to over $95bn in AUM. From 2003 to 2011 Cathy was responsible for leading a team of 60 to provide HR services to 5,000 people in EMEA at BNYMellon.

Cathy’s experience spans nearly three decades, during which time she has led teams and advised senior stakeholders on all aspects of people engagement and management, including culture, employee relations/labour laws, change management, transformation, integration, and growth. She has worked closely with founders and boards to take their organisations through to the next generation of leaders, carefully and successfully, using proven international people experience. Her experienced and holistic approach helps executive management teams and company boards to define, assess and develop their organisational strategy and culture.

Cathy holds a Bachelor of Business and a Post Graduate degree in Human Resources Management and Industrial Relations from Victoria University of Technology, Melbourne.

Prior to joining Oakley, Aga served as the interim Head of ESG at Permira, working with deal teams and directly with portfolio companies. Before this, Aga spent 12 years as an environmental consultant, first at ERM then at Ramboll, advising corporate and financial sector clients on environmental risks and opportunities.

Olivia brings significant experience in the food industry, including as a co-founder herself of Olive + Squash, a fast-casual farm-to-table restaurant in London.
Previously, Olivia was part of Blackstone’s Alternative Asset Management team and an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs.
